Cider on Snow!
March 28, 2014
The winter thaw is on the horizon, and sugaring season will shift into full gear. Not only will our Vermont landscapes transform into iconic scenes of buckets and tap lines, but it’s time for sugar on snow! Regardless of where you’re watching that sap boil, there’s nothing like the taste of fresh syrup drizzled on Winter’s remaining snow blanket. As we say Hello to spring in the cidery, we’re excited to embrace this tradition with our own twist….
Cider on Snow!
In a glass, on a plate, or right on snow in your backyard (that your dogs have avoided of course), this easy recipe will let you enjoy your favorite Woodchuck® Cider while hailing in the shift from Winter to Spring!
In a not so snowy area? Create a snow cone and pour the cider right over crushed ice!
Cider on Snow
Ingredients:
- 1 bottle of your favorite Woodchuck® Hard Cider
- 2 tbsp. of Maple Syrup
- Snow, or crushed ice
Recipe:
Easy as 1, 2, 3!
- Prepare your snow or crushed ice however is most convenient for you. (Keep in mind it will get slushy!)
- Take the bottle of your preferred Woodchuck and pour the delicious cider right over the snowy base.
- Take your Maple Syrup and drizzle it as a topping right over your cider treat.
Well that was easy! Grab a spoon, Popsicle stick, or just your fingers (hey, we don’t judge) and dig in!
