Beer Can Appreciation Day? We’ll see that, and raise you a 16 oz. Cider Can!
January 24, 2014
Today is Beer Can Appreciation Day. Debuting in 1935, the beer can made our bevy of choice available anywhere adventure may call. Canned beer paved the way for canned hard cider, and today, we have even more reason than most to revel in such a day of recognition.
In 2012, after listening to our fans, we introduced 12-ounce cans of our original Amber hard cider. The response was overwhelming! We were ecstatic to see that the cans fit like a glove into our fans’ lifestyles. We’ve continued to listen to the Woodchuck® Community’s requests, and are thrilled to answer the call yet again.
Woodchuck® Cider is excited to announce the release of the Amber 16-ounce cans!
“The Amber can has been a great success for us. It allows for our cider to be available no matter the circumstance,” says Woodchuck President and CEO Bret Williams. “The cider category is rapidly growing and to be able to offer fans a 16-ounce version of our classic red Woodchuck can is really exciting.”
Having tall boys as an option for our cider opens a new realm for our fans. Available in both 4-packs and single cans, the 16-ouncers will be easy to grab at your local convenience store on the way to the beach, or the perfect treat after a long day of rock-climbing. Prepping for that big tailgate party? Now you’ve got the perfect thing to fill that cooler! Whatever your event, A Woodchuck pounder (a pound of Woodchuck, if you will) is a great go-to option.
Keep those eyes peeled! Our tall cans are shipping now, and will be available in stores in the coming weeks. Woodchuck Cider is excited to deliver another innovation directly inspired by our fans. Keep the ideas coming! Cheers!
